About Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, as one of five children to Orthodox priest Milutin and his mother Georgina (Đuka). He was a brilliant inventor and electrical engineer who made numerous contributions to the development of electrical engineering and electromagnetism.

Tesla’s inventions and theoretical work formed the basis of modern alternating current (AC) electrical systems, which are used worldwide today.
